Originally from Germany, Ursula currently lives in the San Francisco Bay area. A scientist and computer programmer during the day, Ursula enjoys singing with local opera companies. She is also available as an oratorio soloist and for special occasions (weddings, funerals, etc.).
Most recently, Ursula has been seen as the Nurse in Eugene Onegin with North Bay Opera, and the Mistress of the Novices in Suor Angelica with Golden Gate Opera.
Ursula studied singing privately, in Germany, Baltimore, New York City, and works currently with Galina Umanskaya in San Francisco. Through the opera workshops, for example with Richard Crittenden in Washington D.C. and New York City, she has perfected her stage craft, being especially successful in comedy roles like the Duchess in the Daughter of the Regiment, and Marcellina in the Marriage of Figaro, a role which she performed in Kosice, Slovakia.
